Queen Camilla’s rather unconventional relationship with her ex-husband exposed

Although royal fans know that is besotted with King Charles and very happy in her marriage, plenty of eyebrows have been raised after
On Thursday evening, Camilla stepped out in a gorgeous polka dot dress to attend her son Tom Parker-Bowles’ book launch, where she was spotted catching up with her ex-husband Andrew Parker-Bowles.
The proud parents, who were married for 22 years and had two children together before finally calling it quits in 1995, were photographed catching up at the event just months after last seeing each other at Royal Ascot, where they were spotted sharing a welcome kiss.
With the two having been spotted so close together within just a matter of months, some people believed it is strange to see a Queen in such close proximity to an ex and so often too.
One person wrote on X: “Are they back together? She spends more time with him than with her current husband.”
The surpise at the pair’s friendly relationship is likely a result of the fact that traditionally Royals did not approve of divorce, with the idea of divorcing or becoming involved with a divorcee being shunned upon for a number of years by the Firm.

This began to change under Queen Elizabeth after three of her four children suffered unhappy marriages and subsequent divorces, including King Charles who divorced Diana and remarried again to Camilla in 2005.
However, although divorce is now more commonplace in both the family and the country, eyebrows are still being raised about the bond between Camilla and her ex-husband, who are reportedly “joined at the hip” despite their failed marriage together.
In Newsweek’s The Royal Report podcast, Newsweek chief royal correspondent Jack Royston said: “There was a really weird thing this week where Camilla’s ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, represented her at an event that she couldn’t go to…. That was an oddity.”
However, many royal fans have praised the pair and the fact they have remained friendly for the sake of their children.
