In his book  Battle of Brothers , author Robert Lacey claims that the two British princes have had several arguments. One of them was an argument that occurred just before Harry and Meghan’s wedding on May 19, 2018 at Windsor Castle, which an unnamed source described as “particularly bitter”.

Details of the affair have not been revealed, according to  the Mail . However, the day before the fairytale wedding, both brothers were seen smiling in front of a crowd of fans in Windsor, with Harry saying he felt “really good”.

As the brothers walked through Windsor, reporters asked Harry twice if he was nervous, to which the younger prince replied: “Excellent, thank you. How are you?”

The Sussexes’ tour of Australia, coming nearly a year after their wedding, appears to be a milestone in how quickly relations between the royal brothers have deteriorated.

The book  Battle of Brothers , which is now being published in  The Times , claims that William and Harry stopped speaking before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left for Australia. The tension is said to have come after William was furious when he heard Meghan had been accused of bullying staff.

Lacey said William was furious after hearing about a complaint lodged by the former communications secretaries of both couples about Meghan’s behaviour. The row between the brothers was so tense that William asked for the offices to be separated immediately.

William is said to feel “hurt and betrayed”, believing Meghan appears to be “taking his brother away from him”.

“When Harry expressed his anger to protect his wife, William remained resolute. Because Harry hung up the phone in anger, William went to confront him directly. The prince was horrified by the reports of his sister-in-law’s behavior, so he wanted to meet Harry to know what he thought,” Lacey wrote.

Meanwhile, Kate was said to be “vigilant from the start”.

Jason Knauf, who worked on communications for both the Cambridges and Sussexes, sent an email accusing the former American actress of bullying palace staff in October 2018. Meghan has denied these claims, with a spokesperson for the couple claiming that Meghan is “the victim of a calculated smear campaign.”

The allegations of Meghan bullying staff were  reported by The Times  in early March. Buckingham Palace has since hired an outside law firm to conduct an independent investigation into the claims. The palace has reportedly insisted that the investigation will be confidential and open-ended.

Meghan’s spokesperson responded to the allegations, saying: “The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as she has been bullied herself and remains committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.”

At least 10 former palace staff are now ready to give evidence in relation to the allegations against Meghan. People close to Meghan say she and the royal family are about to have a “brutal confrontation” over the incident.
