A new documentary from C4 is expected to spark a wave of criticism and put Buckingham Palace in the crosshairs. The upcoming film is titled Camilla: Harry’s ‘Evil Stepmother’?
The documentary, which was reportedly delayed for a long time after news broke that King Charles had cancer, depicts Queen Camilla as having spent 30 years carefully cultivating her media image, but C4 (which airs the film) appears to have been preparing to expose it.
The film also adds that the late Queen Elizabeth II never wanted Camilla to be queen and has always supported Harry. A source told The Sun : “This is a very pro-Harry, anti-Camilla documentary. It shows him and Meghan as victims of family cruelty. It will cause a huge backlash and C4 knows that. They know it’s a very controversial film. A lot of people won’t like it, especially at Buckingham Palace .”
It is reported that producers have contacted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in California, USA to ask them to contribute more information to the new documentary, but apparently received no response.
A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation said: “Neither the Duke nor the Duchess, nor their team, were involved in the making of this documentary. We want to ensure that the film makes that clear when it is broadcast.”
In a leaked excerpt from Prince Harry’s memoir Spare , ahead of the book’s official release, it was revealed that Harry and his brother William begged King Charles not to marry Camilla, even though they both wanted their father to be happy.
In a previous interview, Harry said that Camilla is a dangerous woman who can do anything to improve her reputation, image and personal interests.
