Princess Kate wore a dress and a black coat, with a red poppy pinned to her chest, to attend the annual Festival of Remembrance . The mother of three used pearl earrings that her late mother-in-law Diana used to wear, matching her necklace. “Kate looks beautiful. It’s great to see her healthy and happy,” commented Pauline Marshall, a senior royal fan.

The Sun reported that Kate was being looked after by her husband as she returned to royal duties for the first time since announcing the end of chemotherapy two months ago. Prince William was seen repeatedly placing his hand on Kate’s back as they stepped out of the car into the hall and down the stairs. The couple smiled and chatted warmly before the ceremony. They both looked emotional afterwards, standing up and applauding as veterans took to the stage.

King Charles III, who is also battling cancer, attended the ceremony alone as Queen Camila is being treated for a respiratory infection. The British monarch stood next to his sister, Princess Anne, who attended the event with her husband.

William said his wife would step up her royal engagements in 2025. “I hope Catherine will be able to do more next year, so we can do some more trips,” the Prince of Wales said.

Today, Kate will join William and King Charles III at the Remembrance Sunday service at the Memorial in Whitehall, London. It will be the first time the Princess of Wales has attended two consecutive royal events since December last year.
