Royal expert: Meghan’s decision to never return to her husband’s hometown will have consequences for her two children Archie and Lilibet

The Duchess of Sussex may never set foot in the UK again, which will affect her two children’s relationship with their father’s homeland. Royal experts say Meghan Markle’s decision will have many consequences.

Former reporter Charles Rae of The Sun told GB News: “As for Meghan, I’m of the school of thought that doesn’t believe she will return to this country. That also means that, unless the children are grown, they won’t be returning to the UK in the near future. She has had many ways to get back together with Harry, but Meghan has decided that she doesn’t want to do that.”

Since stepping down as senior members of the British Royal Family in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have moved to California (USA) to live and raise their two young children, Archie and Lilibet. While the Duke of Sussex has returned to his homeland many times for charity work, events and family reasons, Meghan Markle rarely returns to the UK. The last time the public saw her was at the late Queen’s funeral in 2022.

Recently, when Prince Harry returned to the UK alone to attend the Wellchild Awards 2024 without Meghan Markle by his side, experts said that it is highly likely that the Duchess of Sussex will not set foot in this country again. This could affect the couple’s two children and the time they spend in their father’s homeland.

“She stopped at an airport in this country when Harry was here. He picked her up at the airport and they flew somewhere. But I don’t think Meghan wants to come back to this country, which is a pity. Meghan has made her own decision about her life and she will continue to stay in California,” Mr. Charles Rae added.

Despite rumours that Harry wanted to return to the royal family and his homeland, sources close to the prince say he has settled into life in California and is now living the life “he always wanted” at his Montecito mansion. The Duke of Sussex is said to spend most of his time with his children, often taking them for bike rides or walking his dog along the beach. Harry’s relationship with the British royal family is said to remain strained, with him and his brother, Prince William, still unable to make up.
