The Duchess of Sussex is seeking to trademark her new service, American Riviera Orchard, for use worldwide when it launches next year. However, records show that in July – some four months after Meghan filed – some of the content was unclear and needed to be corrected.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has notified the Sussexes’ lawyers of a number of issues, including inaccuracies in the yoga blanket, picnic basket and recipe book.

The agency also said the fee required to register Meghan’s trademark is $11,382. It is believed that Netflix – which has just finished filming a cooking show with Meghan – will take over the commercial exploitation of the brand and will pay the fee.

Meghan signaled her intention to move into the lifestyle space in early March by creating an Instagram page for her new brand. She also posted videos, including a blurry image of herself working in the kitchen.

The Duchess of Sussex then sent samples to her celebrity friends to promote on social media. However, there are still many steps to take before American Riviera Orchard hits the market. According to British media, Meghan ‘s brand is expected to launch around May 2025.
