Meghan is aiming to establish herself as Hollywood’s new lifestyle queen through her brand, American Riviera Orchard, with a cooking show for Netflix being her latest endeavor. Reports indicated that she used a borrowed 4,000-square-foot house near her $14 million Montecito mansion for filming, instead of her own residence. The second filming location mentioned was Farmlane, a cannabis farm owned by the Van Wingerden family in Carpinteria.

The Van Wingerdens are known for being significant legal marijuana suppliers, but their operations have faced backlash from local residents due to the unpleasant odors emanating from the farm. Complaints about the smell reached over 2,340 between 2018 and 2022, leading to lawsuits over property value depreciation.

While questions arose about how Meghan would manage filming in such a controversial location, a source denied any association with cannabis farms, stating that filming was taking place at a private residence. Meghan’s representatives have not yet responded to the allegations.

This news reignited discussions on social media, with various opinions expressed about her choices and intentions. Previously, Prince Harry had also faced scrutiny regarding past drug use, which adds further context to the family’s ongoing public narrative. Currently, there’s no indication that Meghan has any cannabis products linked to her brand.
