A royal insider has stoked speculation Prince Harry is going “a different way” than his wife Meghan Markle amid reports the Duke of Sussex misses his old life.
A Buckingham Palace insider has weighed in on speculation Prince Harry is going “a different way” than Meghan Markle after the Duke of Sussex spent time away from his wife.
Harry, 40, stepped back from royal duties and relocated to California with his American-born wife in 2020.
The Sussexes have subsequently banked about $100 million through deals with Netflix, Spotify and the proceeds of Harry’s book Spare slamming the monarchy.
However, the Duke of Sussex appears to have changed strategies and recently completed a fortnight of charitable engagements across New York, London and South Africa without Markle.

According to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, the Duke’s well-received charity blitz shows Harry remains “quite charming and engaging”.
“I don’t think Harry has burned all his bridges with the British public,” she told OK! Magazine.
“There’s something about Harry that remains quite charming and engaging.
“His many attacks on his family will never be forgotten… but perhaps they can eventually be forgiven, by enough people, anyway to make him welcome here.”

Noticeably, the Duke quietly extended his visit to South Africa by several days to spend time with his old friends and Spencer relatives in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Harry’s solo engagements come amid speculation the Sussexes are discreetly house hunting in London after King Charles tore up their lease on Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
It is understood that the Duke is keen for his children Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, to remain connected to the United Kingdom while Meghan has noticeably avoided returning to the UK.
Ms Bond claimed that while Harry may not want to return to his previous life “in any shape or form”, the Duke is likely to refocus his efforts on charity.
Meanwhile, Meghan is understood to be preoccupied with relaunching her public image in Los Angeles through her fledging lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
“He is forging a different way of ‘service’ as he puts it… and that’s the path I think he will continue on while Meghan pursues more commercial activities,” she said.
