Harry’s statement that caused a stir online: Meghan is completely different from other women who joined the British Royal Family. How is she different?

In a recent viral TikTok video, the Duke of Sussex suggested that the press had “an opportunity” to cast women who married members of the British Royal Family before Meghan “into a certain role” because they came into the limelight “with almost a blank slate.” Prince Harry shared: “And when Meghan came in, they tried to do that to her. But she came into a relationship with me when she was in her 30s.”

The Duke of Sussex married Meghan Markle in 2018. Before that, Meghan Markle had a successful acting career and was well-known. Therefore, according to Prince Harry, Meghan’s fans spoke out against the press trying to paint her in an inappropriate image. He said: “She has a very public career where millions of people know who she is because they have followed her. It was fans and people who know Meghan who spoke up and said that was completely untrue. You can’t say that based on the fact that we know who she is.”

The video has attracted around 77,400 views and nearly 6,000 likes. The caption reads: “This is how Prince Harry has never been shy about reminding people that unlike other women who marry into the British Royal Family with a ‘blank résumé’, Meghan has her own successful life, a career, her own money, has made her own way in the world.” The person who posted the video also said that Harry’s friends had hoped he would meet a woman like Meghan.

Royal fans were full of praise for the Duke of Sussex after watching the video. One social media user commented: “They are a match made in heaven.” Another said: “Here’s the truth! She is a modern woman, that’s why young people like her.”

Harry’s comments come ahead of the release of the paperback version of his controversial memoir “Spare” on Thursday. Last year, in an interview with ABC ahead of the release of his memoir, Prince Harry also mentioned that Meghan was different from other women when she joined the Royal Family.
