Duchess Meghan is reportedly open to talks to reach a reconciliation with the royal family after being ‘hurt’ by them.
Meghan is eager to reunite with the royal family after four years of limited contact, according to sources close to her. The Duchess of Sussex believes that cultivating a friendly relationship with her husband’s family will “help her sell more”.
Since stepping down and moving to the US in 2020, Harry and Meghan have somewhat distanced themselves from the royal family. They have also continuously made shocking statements about Harry’s relatives and revealed tensions between Meghan and her husband’s family. There are even rumors that the Suits star dislikes the royal family so much that she “never wants to set foot in the UK again”.
The last time the Sussexes visited the UK together was in 2022 for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II . However, Meghan now seems ready to “open her arms” to her husband’s relatives despite still being “heartbroken,” OK ! magazine reported.
“She’s still really hurt by the way the royal family treated her, four years on. Now she wants to sit down and talk about what happened,” said royal expert Angela Levin.
Levin claims Meghan wants a public apology from the royal family, even though it has always been a far-fetched idea. “She should really be the one apologizing. But Harry and Meghan don’t want that,” the royal expert added.
Furthermore, Levin claimed that a royal insider once mentioned to her that the Duchess of Sussex thought the reconciliation could “help her sell jam” from the American Riviera Orchard brand.
The author of many royal books revealed: “Meghan is also trying to get Beatrice and Eugenie to find someone to help her sell her jam. She hopes King Charles III will also help. The reconciliation is a good excuse to make sure everything is fine with her and also a way for her to sell her products.”
