The two also seemed to have a heated stare down (see below), but in past royal outings, be it other Trooping the Colours, the family’s annual Christmas service, or their grandfather’s coronation, she seemed to get a kick out of him.
She was often spotted chuckling at him or showing the public that she wasn’t afraid to stand up for him. So what happened this year? It’s hard to say. Maybe the glares were just bad timing from the cameras. Or maybe she just wasn’t having his sh*t that day. Maybe she was simply trying to teach him more about royal protocol. Or maybe she wanted to give her mom who is usually in charge of reining in Prince Louis, a break from the task that she usually gets heat for.
