Meghan Markle’s top priority is to “flourish” in the US according to one royal commentator, as the duchess prepares to hard launch her brand, American Riviera Orchard, and establish her name in the business world.
The Duchess of Sussex has been attending major celebrity events in the US, including her latest appearance at the G9 Ventures Summer Summit last weekend, where guests included entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima, designer Misha Nonoo, cosmetics giant Bobbi Brown, make-up expert Victoria Jackson, actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern, as well as broadcaster Katie Couric.

She also attended the 2024 ESPYs, where her husband Prince Harry was handed the Pat Tillman Award for Service.
Now royal commentator Gareth Russell has touched down on why Meghan’s priority is “centred” in the US.
He told GB News: “I don’t think it’s a surprise to see the Duchess of Sussex at a big celebrity event.

“Obviously, that’s the world of circles she helps to flourish in America. That is her priority.
“And I also think regardless of anything that’s gone on, she is his [Prince Harry’s] wife, it’s perfectly natural and correct for spouses to turn up to big nights to support one another.”
It comes as Meghan’s possible return to the UK for Harry’s Invictus Games in 2027 Britain has been monopolising the news cycle.
Harry’s passion project will be returning to his home country in three years time, as Birmingham won the bid to host the event in a competition against US finalist Washington DC.
But it still remains unclear whether she will join her husband for the major event.

The duchess hasn’t stepped foot in the UK since 2022, when she attended the late Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral in London.
Meanwhile, Harry recently said he would not bring Meghan back to the UK in fear of their safety.
He said in a new ITV documentary: “It got to a point where you’re damned if you do, you’re damned if you don’t. All it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff, to act on what they have read…
“And whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is. These are things that are a genuine concern for me.
“It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”
