Battery-Powered Toyota Commuter electronic concept car
BATTERY-POWERED TOYOTA — The prototype of an electronic town car, the Toyota Commuter, was unveiled by the Toyota Motor Company at the Tokyo Motor Show in Tokyo last month. The new Toyota town car is a multi-purpose, door-to-door vehicle, designed to serve within limited areas of city commuting, school-going and shopping or within factory premises or railway station compounds. Powered by lead batteries, it is completely free of toxic exhaust gas. Toyota executives have announced no plans at this time for production of the experimental town car.
