Harry prepared to ‘uproot his family’ and return to the UK

Prince Harry is reportedly prepared to return to the United Kingdom and rejoin the royal family following his father King Charles’s cancer diagnosis.

Despite “stepping back” from official duties in 2020 and starting a new life in the United States with his wife Meghan Markle, royal expert Jennie Bond believes that Harry would be prepared to “uproot his family” if needed.

“Harry probably would uproot his family and fill in for the short-term,” she told Heat magazine on Tuesday.

A source told the same outlet Harry and Meghan were finding it “hard” to hear King Charles was making plans for the future without their input amid the Sussexes’ declining celebrity status in the United States.

The insight comes after a bombshell report claimed Harry was insisting his wife Meghan and the couple’s children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet join him on an official trip to the United Kingdom in May.

Harry is set to visit London again in May to mark the tenth anniversary of his signature Invictus Games event for wounded soldiers and veterans.

“Harry is very keen for his entire family to join him. It’s important for him that they show a united front and focus on building bridges with the rest of the royal family,” an insider told OK! Magazine last month.

“The move to bring the Invictus Games back to Britain is seen as an opportunity for Harry and he is very keen to take it.

“He is adamant that he wants Meghan and the children to join him, but I think she may be apprehensive and I think she finds being in the UK very uncomfortable.”

Harry also returned to the British capital earlier this month for a brief visit with Charles and the cancer diagnosis appears to have sparked a significant thaw in relations between father and son.

Meanwhile, Meghan has largely stayed away from England since publicly slamming the royal family to Oprah Winfrey and in the couple’s Netflix series and even turned down an invite to Charles’s coronation last year.

Although Harry is reportedly having second thoughts about leaving the monarchy, royal author Tom Quinn told The Mirror that “no one trusts Harry” and it is unlikely he would ever be welcomed back into the fold.

“Succession planning is highly secret and no one trusts Harry to be part of it for the simple reason that if he feels in any way slighted or not given what he feels he deserves he will run straight to the media,” he said.
