Despite the rift that cannot be healed, King Charles and Queen Camilla still decided to do one thing for Meghan

Meghan Markle will celebrate her 43rd birthday on Sunday, August 4. Despite their ongoing feud with the British Royal Family, King Charles and Queen Camilla plan to send Meghan birthday wishes, according to the king’s former butler.

Harry and Meghan have been estranged from the British royal family since they made a series of bitter comments about life in the royal family after leaving the UK and moving to the US in 2020. Grant Harrold, who served as butler to King Charles from 2004 to 2011, said: “Harry will make sure Meghan celebrates her birthday.”

Harrold believes that the King and Queen will still send birthday wishes to Meghan, whether by email or letter. However, there is no possibility of a public announcement from the Royal Family on the occasion. Harrold added: “I think they will receive wishes from the King and Queen, whether electronically or by traditional letter. I still think the King and Queen will send birthday wishes. I don’t think that will change despite everything that has happened . “

Grant Harrold also predicted that the Royals could send a gift to mark the occasion, but did not rule out the possibility of no gift given the current feud. Harrold commented: “I suspect there won’t be any public greetings, they’ve posted on social media but that hasn’t happened in the last few years and I don’t think that’s going to change. They could send a gift, but with everything that’s happened, it’s unlikely there will be.

The last time the royal family publicly wished Meghan a happy birthday was in August 2022, before Queen Elizabeth passed away. At that time, the Prince and Princess of Wales posted on social media: “Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!” and Clarence House (now the name representing King Charles and Queen Camilla) shared a similar message.

Although the relationship between Harry, Meghan and the rest of the British Royal Family remains tense, this move from King Charles and Queen Camilla shows an attempt to maintain some harmony within the family.
