Recently, the Queen of England suddenly announced the cancellation of the Christmas party with the participation of 50 relatives at Windsor Castle next week due to concerns about the Omicron variant outbreak in the UK.
Previously, sources confirmed that the Queen was determined to continue the party to meet everyone, but at the last minute, things changed. She decided not to take the risk to ensure the health and safety of herself and her loved ones. This is the second year in a row that the Queen has canceled the pre-Christmas lunch.

On the Duke of Sussex’s side, a source revealed that Prince Harry wrote a letter to the Queen, expressing his desire to support her in the series of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of his reign next year.
“According to a source, the Prince basically wants to support the Queen. This could imply that he will return home alone. The Queen has had some health issues recently. She is more stable now but next year the Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, 70 years on the throne. There will be a lot of work and demands on her. They all want the Queen to make trips to other countries in the UK,” said royal expert Neil Sean.
“But this is where things get more interesting because according to sources, Prince Harry wrote to his grandmother, saying he was ready to serve and support her in any way, as long as he could alleviate any problems or pressures the Queen might face. This is a very good move,” Sean said.
The news comes after Harry and his wife Meghan Markle decided not to return to the UK to celebrate Christmas with their family. They will spend the holiday with their two children Archie and Lilibet at their villa in Montecito, California.
