Meghan Markle will be called Princess if she loses her title of Royal Highness

Meghan Markle won’t lose everything if King Charles and Prince William agree to strip her and Prince Harry of their titles.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, a royal magazine, analyzed the case of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan being stripped of their royal titles. Accordingly, at present, although they have given up their duties as members of the British Royal Family since 2020, they still have the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex. However, if they lose this title, the couple will still have their own royal titles.

“I don’t think they will lose everything because even without this title, Harry will be a Prince and Meghan will become Princess Henry instead of Duchess of Sussex,” the expert said. “This will really confuse Americans. I think the best way is to remove it because it is unnecessary.”

Prince Harry, despite giving up his duties, will always be a Prince. Accordingly, when Meghan loses her title of Princess, she will be called Princess Henry according to royal tradition. The same rule will also apply to Princess Kate Middleton, meaning that if she loses the title of Princess, she will also become Princess William.

Previously, many sources said that King Charles and his eldest son had many lengthy discussions about whether to strip Harry and Meghan of their titles. However, both feared that this would be counterproductive and make the situation worse.
