Queen Reportedly Surprised by Meghan Markle’s White Wedding Dress Choice

It has been two years since Meghan Markle exchanged vows with Prince Harry, dressed in her iconic ivory Givenchy gown designed by Clare Waight Keller.

While many admired her choice, it was reportedly the Queen who was most surprised by Meghan’s decision, according to royal sources.

The Queen was apparently surprised to see that Meghan Markle wore white on her wedding day according to insiders

Sources suggest that the Queen was taken aback by Meghan’s decision to wear white on her wedding day. Insiders revealed to the Mail on Sunday that the Queen had not expected Meghan, previously married, to choose a gown in such a pure white shade.

Traditionally, a white wedding dress symbolizes “purity” and reflects the bride’s virginity. Given Meghan’s prior marriage, the Queen may have anticipated she would select an off-white gown instead.

As Meghan was previously married, the Queen might have thought she would choose an off-white gown.

Meghan had been married before, to Trevor Engelson, in a beach ceremony at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on September 10, 2011. Photos from the four-day event captured moments of beachside celebrations, including drinking games with friends.

The marriage ended in separation just two years later, and they finalized their divorce in August 2013, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

In related news, Meghan and Harry’s biographer recently shared intimate photos from their wedding to mark their anniversary.

Additionally, Meghan’s former trainer revealed that she enjoyed learning martial arts and often chatted with him in Spanish.

On another note, Meghan and Prince Harry contributed to providing 250,000 meals to struggling Britons during lockdown through a wedding donation.
