Meghan once thought Harry didn’t get much in terms of material things despite being a member of the British Royal Family.
A new book about the British Royal Family by expert Robert Jobson has revealed Meghan Markle’s thoughts when she first got acquainted with the Royal Family. In it, the former actress believes that there is an inequality between her husband – Prince Harry – and his brother William and that Harry deserves more in terms of material things.
“When Meghan and Harry went to William and Kate’s apartment while still living at Nottingham Cottage across the street, Meghan was shocked by the difference between the two brothers,” said Robert. “I’m not saying she was jealous but she was really surprised by William’s lavish lifestyle compared to where they lived.”
The expert believes that this was the beginning of all the tensions that continued between the two couples later. At that time, Harry lived in one of the smallest properties on the estate. This area only had two bedrooms and one bathroom. Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Wales live in a spacious 20-room apartment.
In his explosive 2023 memoir Spare, Prince Harry revealed that he felt embarrassed about bringing his wife to live in the small house. “I was delighted to welcome Meghan into my home but also embarrassed. Nottingham Cottage is not a palace,” he said.
The couple later moved to Frogmore Cottage in 2017 after their marriage. However, in 2023, they were forced to give it back after giving up their royal titles in 2020.
