Royal couple Harry and Meghan are still deeply disappointed that they weren’t recognised at the Emmy Awards, according to Hollywood expert Lynn Carratt. Although the 2024 awards ceremony has come and gone, Harry and Meghan are both unhappy that they didn’t receive any nominations.
“Harry and Meghan may feel a little hurt that they didn’t get an Emmy nomination. They were up against some very stiff competition to get nominated,” the expert told the Mirror.
The fact that their documentary Harry & Meghan set a record for the biggest debut for a documentary on Netflix is also a reason why the couple hoped to be recognised at this year’s Emmy Awards. However, they were baffled that the film didn’t get any nominations in any category.
This isn’t the first time the couple have been snubbed from the Emmys. Prince Harry and his wife were previously left devastated when they didn’t receive the recognition they felt they deserved at the awards ceremony.
At the moment, the couple only have one project left in their $100 million Netflix deal. The couple has acquired the rights to Carley Fortune’s acclaimed new romance Meet Me at the Lake. This will be Harry and Meghan’s first non-documentary project, and both have high hopes for it.
