Prince Harry Unlikely to Rejoin Royal Fold Despite Charitable Efforts

Royal expert claims Duke’s charity work won’t secure royal return
Prince Harry’s recent engagements with charities have sparked discussions about his potential return to royal duties, but a royal expert believes that this is not possible. Since stepping down from his senior royal position in 2020 with Meghan Markle, Harry has focused on his independent ventures, but speculation about his return continues.
Royal commentator Phil Dampier told The Sun that while Harry’s charity work, such as attending the WellChild Awards in the UK and promoting his Sentebale foundation in Lesotho, has been well-received, it won’t be enough to charm his way back into the royal fold.

Dampier explained that Harry once hoped to maintain ties with certain military and charity patronages while also pursuing commercial opportunities in the US, a scenario that the late Queen Elizabeth firmly rejected. Despite his charisma and the success of his charitable events, the expert believes Harry cannot “have his cake and eat it too” when it comes to balancing royal duties and independent work.

According to Dampier, the Duke of Sussex will likely continue to make occasional appearances at charity events, but his full return to royal duties remains off the table.
